so i remember those times that my mom would be like, holli, seriously, don't just take clothes out of the dryer and throw them in a basket. it makes them wrinkly and just makes more work.
well- now i understand this.
everyone says that the stuff your mom teaches you doesn't really sink in till you have to deal with it or whatnot. well, i apparently do now.
i got a new roommate.
i don't even know her name and she's lived here for a few days.
but i went to work, (note a 3 hour shift), and had left my clothes to dry. i came home and my clothes were beautifully stuffed onto the dryer. mmmm. all my wrinkly work pants will have to wait for my new roommates clothes to finish drying till i can try to dewrinkle them. . . and i don't have an iron so that's not an option.
moral of the story.
fold your laundry.
or karma will get you.

But even at our swifted speed, we couldn't break from the concrete. . .
so, going into my last week of spring term , i figured i should sit, blog, and catch my mom up before i'm overwhelmed with my whole 2 finals, one of which is open book. lol. and the other is not comprehensive. i'm SO EXCITED!!! i really like this spring term. i don't know why i just don't do it and skip fall or something. hahah.
but i saw STOMP last night at Capitol Theatre and it was AMAZING!!! the beatboxing with brooms? garbage bags? then the clapping? i so can't even clap that fast. it was crazy!
so because it is the last week of class, 3 of my 4 classes were canceled today. i only have psychology. . . in which the teacher is. . . ummm. yeah. let's just say i wouldn't get my week's eye candy if that class was canceled. but really.
crushes on teachers? did anyone else suffer from this? like, 2 of my teachers- i would just love to be like, "hey you. date me!" they are grad students(one from sandy and the other from LIVERPOOL) so it's not that bad. . .but still. argh! it will never happen :( but i can add them on facebook after finals are over. lol. oh BYU and it's dating game. wow.

ANYWAYS. lol. i did get a roommate. she's so stinkin cute! she's from Georgia and has the most fun accent ever! her name is steph and i really am glad to have someone in the apartment to keep me semi social during this stressful spring term.
spring term is over half way done and i'm so excited. i only have a few more tests and assignments and am excited to just about be a junior in college. yeah. a junior at 18. go me! lol.
so i just thought i'd give those minor updates. and my mom's phone broke so she can't talk to me as much so i decided she can catch up on here now. hahah. right. . . cause she's obviously on here a lot (NOT!)
well, till next time!

a Severe case of the GiGgLeS!
well, my mom said she'd post this story. . . but she hasn't gotten around to it yet. but i laughed so hard i thought it may be funny to share.
so the other night i was working at factory brand shoes, at the outlets (super fun, but really hard not just to shop) and i had to close and open shipment and by the time i arrived at my house in sandy, i was SO TIRED! It was about 11 and i decided, with shoes on and all, to crawl into my parents bed, just to throw them for a loop. my dad was awake, and my mom, who's side i got on, was now joyfully awake as well. we started talking and i don't know what was even funny but i just started laughing. then i was laughing cause my mom's butt was hitting me. and that they needed to scooch over so i could fit. and that i needed my own pillow. and that when i started laughing, the bed shook which make me laugh even harder.
i just was lonely!!! and they understood. hence the reason i stayed and chatted and dozed in and out of consciousness on their bed for just a bit less than an hour. just. . .18 year old crawling into bed with mom and dad. oh and they wouldn't even let me in the middle. HOW RUDE :)

this is the provo city police. . .
i had a minor heart attack today.
it was scary.
so i walked out of my 2.5 hour class (which doesn't have cell phone service- so it feels like a 5 hour class with no entertainment) to find i had 3 texts and 1 new voice message. i put those off to call my mom to see how sleeping in 'till 12 was. :D
so i read my texts and replied and got dinner all arranged then decided to sit on a bench in the GORGEOUS weather and listen to my voicemail.
"this is the provo police department and you have been accused of damaging a car" (ok that wasn't a direct quote but i was too nervous to remember it) DAMAGING A CAR?!?! oops. i don't remember doing this. but. . . i calm down and start the phone tag with the investigating officer. i finally get a hold of him sometime during Bones and get the low down.
1-reported today.
2-ex-roommate.
3-only one he is contacting.
4-keyed car.
SO. . . the paraphrased low down. i was accused of keying an ex-roommates car. sweeeeeetttt. cause i didn't do it and there is video surveillance of me not doing it :D
but seriously?
are those the terms we really left on?
pathetic.

here's to spring
well, after eating tubs of sorbet and lots of soup, i'm about 100% again. which is good. spring term started yesterday and i'm taking a few classes. I only have 8.5 credits which should be ok this term. it's a lot but i'm taking private organ, voice, and piano lessons. go me!
I was able to go to the management of the apartment complex i live in and request to move. I did. and was given. . . DUN DUH DUH. . . AN EMPTY APARTMENT NO ONE HAS EVER LIVED IN BEFORE!!! how cool is that? So my cute mom came down to help me move. BUT. the best part is. my apartment has clear view of the dumpsters, which conveniently had shopping carts parked next to them (by some lazy college kid with no car who refuses to only buy as many groceries as he can carry). so my mom prances over to these carts, picks one up and makes her way to my old apartment to load it up. so after only 3-4 cart loads, looking like some well-dressed homeless people, sneaking past the front office with Sam and a drawer set from the old apartment, i am almost settled.
yet sadly, i am not away from the drama of my old roommate. she's crazy. she keeps texting me stuff like, "let me know if you have questions about what your kitchen stuff is cause ours is similar." Or the best one was last night when i received, with both of my parents standing there, and i quote, "hey when youre out give us the key." i replied, "no i give that to the office." her response, "k, will they call and tell us that you turned it in(?)" i replied, "Why? are there trust issues or what?" Her final response, "YEAH" How horrible is that? those snide comments have been flying for the past 8 months and i've had no way to escape. UGH!!!
and i still have never shared the story that spawned the move. i think i will start drafting. lol. BUT i'm out, and almost safe, just a check out later this week. HUZZAH!
